Allan Owens is Professor Emeritus at the centre for Research into Education, Creativity and Arts through Practice (RECAP) and Phillip Barker Centre for Creative Learning, University of Chester, UK. He studied at the Universities of Sheffield (BA, 1978), Keele (MA, 1987) and Warwick (PhD, 2007), became a National Teaching Fellow in 2003, and developed his practice in a very diverse range of contexts in the UK and around the world.
